GREAT BRITISH BIKE BUILD
GBBB Cycle Training
GREAT BRITISH BIKE BUILD was founded in 2012 by Stephen Preston.
Stephen has been a keen cyclist for many years and who has competed in Road Race, Circuits and Time Trials and is now a keen advocate for all forms of cycling and thinks towns and villages would be a better place if more bikes were used and less cars on the road.
Steve started producing bikes funded by the LSTF programme to be used as Pool Bikes, his proudest moment was winning a contract to build bikes for the NHS to enable nurses made house visits by bike.
Steve tries to support British manufacturing wherever possible and recalls the time when Britain was the largest manufacturer of bicycle and accessories and when more people cycled to work and enjoyed the freedom of the bicycle for adventures at the weekend.
this website shares news and blogs about heritage cycling and Steve still participates in vintage events riding his Pashley Guvnor.
Nowadays Steve is working more with local schools teaching the next generation to cycle, Steve is an NSIQ Cycle Instructor and also teaches adults road craft.
